Pelosi Left-Wing Riot Commission Shot Down

Almost two months have passed since the infamous and historic riot on January 6. Since that time, law enforcement has worked diligently to catch and hold accountable individuals who engaged in the insurrection.

Many of these people have attempted to save themselves from legal consequences by employing a series of methods. Some claimed that they were simply following the orders of Trump or that the 45th president duped them. Other insurrectionists attempted to spare themselves by removing online posts that implicate them as participants.

Weeks after the riot, Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced her decision to start a commission to further investigate the events of January 6. This week, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell shut down the commission on the basis of it being fueled by left-wing bias and partisanship, Townhall reports.

The commission proposed by Speaker Pelosi comprised seven Democrats, yet only four Republicans.

Leader McConnell responded yesterday, stating that “artificial cherry-picking” is unacceptable; the Senate Minority Leader then professed that any drawn-up commission should have fair balance and also review riots carried out by left-wing demonstrators responsible for violence.

While Pelosi’s interest lies in just reviewing the actions of right-wing rioters, McConnell maintains that political violence across the board should be reviewed and looked into. The Senate Minority Leader additionally made the point that any commission with a “hardwired partisan slant” would only advance present divides in the country.

If Pelosi truly wanted to put together a serious commission, she could start with one that contains an equal number of Democrats and Republicans. Fashioning a body that contains nearly twice as many Democrats as Republicans demonstrates clear bias.

Secondly, a review into left-wing violence, as stated by Leader McConnell, is important. Many of the Democrats who censured the January 6 riots remained silent during the summer of 2020.

They remained silent when Antifa and Black Lives Matter burned businesses and police precincts to the ground. Pelosi herself even stated that “people will do what they do” when questioned about left-wing rioters ripping down statues.

Any commission that probes the insurrection on January 6 must also investigate displays of left-wing violence in America. The facts show everyone that there is absolutely no shortage in this department.

What do you think about Speaker Pelosi’s proposed commission that has nearly twice as many Democrats as Republicans? Do you believe there should be a commission to probe partisan violence across the political spectrum? Let us know down below in the comments section.

  • Both the Jan.6 Riots on the Capital should be investigated as well as the democratic riots that occurred all summer, the summer riots were encouraged by the democrats.
The Jan 6 riots were preplanned and there is not positive proof that ANTIFA did not also take part in the Jan riots as well!
