Pelosi and Schumer Make Moves To Ram COVID Bill Through

On Monday just hours before 10 Republican senators finally got a meeting with President Biden, Pelosi and Schumer took the first step to cram through President Biden's $1.9T COVID relief bill.

The duo filed what is known as a "joint budget resolution" less than two hours before a group of 10 Republicans senators was scheduled to meet with Mr Biden. Which will allow the Democrats to bypass the usually required 60 votes to end a filibuster attempt and pass the legislation.

With 50 Democratic senators plus Vice President Kamala Harris ready to cast a tiebreaker vote, Mr Schumer likely has the votes to send the final product to Mr Biden’s for his signature.

If the Congress pass the joint budget resolution this week, it will trigger a negotiation period between the sibling committees from each chamber, which will meet to carve out the final “reconciliation bill” within the parameters laid out in the original budget resolution.

“Congress has a responsibility to quickly deliver immediate comprehensive relief to the American people hurting from Covid-19.The cost of inaction is high and growing, and the time for decisive action is now.” Mr Schumer and Ms Pelosi said in a joint statement on Monday.

This all comes after months and months of stalling and balling hard ball from the duo on relief while they kept businesses. They didn't care to deliver relief to the American people while Donald Trump was president but now it's supposedly their top priority?

It's time these two be removed from their positions through articles of expulsion. The American people and economy can not survive two more years of this.
