Biden Calls For "Unity" But Denies Trump White House Employees Paternal Leave
Welcoming a baby into the world is a special and stressful moment for any parent and if you worked for President Trump, well Biden just added to your stress levels.
There is enough to worry about when having a baby and new parents need all the help they can get but now the Biden administration has cancelled all paternal benefits for former government employees under the Trump administration.
These employees started their paternal leave back in the days leading up to Christmas when they welcomed children into the world. But just a few weeks into their leave they were notified that the new administration would not be honoring their benefits and would remove them from the payroll.
The administration's reasoning, the request for paternal leave was filed too close to Inauguration Day and they did not have the time to meet the request. Not notifying the employees until they had already started their leave, two to three weeks into their leave and within two weeks of Inauguration.
If "unity" was really one of President Biden's top priorities, cancelling a handful of employees paternal leave is definitely not a good way to go about it. If the roles were reversed and this was the Trump administration doing this, the corporate media would be losing their minds. But since it's Biden pulling the strings you won't hear a peep from them about this.
